Choosing the Right IV Fluids for Your Drip Treatments

At our clinic, we offer 30 types of IV drips designed for health, wellness, and beauty. But did you know each drip needs the right type of IV fluid? Here’s how we choose the best solution for your safety and results!

Our Most Common IV Fluids

1. Normal Saline (NS)

  • The safest and most universal fluid.
  • Used for most vitamin drips, detox drips, and general wellness.
  • Great for hydration without adding sugar.

2. Lactated Ringer’s (LR)

  • Helps restore hydration and electrolytes, especially after exercise, dehydration, or hangovers.
  • Not suitable for people with severe liver problems.

3. Dextrose 5% in Water (D5W)

  • Contains a bit of sugar for energy.
  • Good for fatigue or energy-boosting drips.
  • Not recommended for people with diabetes.

4. Plasma-Lyte

  • A premium option that closely matches your body’s natural fluids.
  • Ideal for sensitive clients or those needing a gentler solution.
  • More expensive than NS.

Which Drips Use Which Fluids?

Here’s how we match your drips to the safest fluids:

IV Drip TypeBest Fluid
Most vitamin drips (e.g. beauty, immune, mood)NS
Detox drips (e.g. liver, glutathione)NS
High-dose Vitamin C dripsNS only (not LR)
Athletic recovery dripsLR
Hangover dripsLR or NS
Energy-boosting dripsD5W (unless diabetic)
Brain or neuro support dripsNS or Plasma-Lyte
Chelation therapy (EDTA)NS only (never LR)

When We Change the Fluid

We may change the fluid we use for your drip if:

  • You have diabetes → We avoid sugary solutions like D5W.
  • You have liver disease → We avoid LR and choose NS or Plasma-Lyte.
  • You’re getting high-dose Vitamin C → We use NS instead of LR.
  • You have sensitive electrolytes → We might choose Plasma-Lyte for extra safety.
  • Children need IV therapy → We carefully adjust fluid types and amounts.

Our Promise:
Every drip at our clinic is prepared safely and tailored to your health. Your well-being comes first, and we carefully select the right fluids to match your treatment goals!
